9. You have the right to be protected against cruel acts or exploitation, e.g. you shall not be obliged to do work which hinders your development both physically and mentally. You should not work before a minimum age and never when that would hinder your health, and your moral and physical development.

Children should never be abused.  They should never have to work in dangerous conditions and should never have to work if it means not going to school.  Children should never have to do a job which affects their healthy growth (for example, they should never work in a cramped factory where they are inside all day sewing clothing).  Children should never be involved with drugs or sold as slaves.  Children under the age of 15 should never be soldiers.
